Good news, bad news

The good news is that Topps is our main sponsor again this year.  And we thank them.

The bad news is that I have not been able to secure a dealer sponsor.  That means that all the contestants will be forced to find the best price for a hobby box on their own.

Several contestants have offered to or did provide a scan of the odds.  I present it here:

Now that I know the odds I'll be putting together the rules. I'm sure that they'll be tweaked.

For the contestants, please submit your Favorite Player and Favorite Team.  I'm expanding the FP to any  person depicted on a card in the set, cards #1-350.  This could be a race car driver, a coach, etc.  Now, if you pick a non-baseball player the chances are that you'll be at a disadvantage in scoring during the contest.

Pick away.

  1. My FP/FT is Robin Yount/Milwaukee Brewers. Shocking, I know.

  2. Chris Sale - Chicago White Sox

  3. I'm going a different route than I did last year, unfortunately. Gimme Yu Darvish and the Rangers.

  4. Fave Player: David Wright
    Fave Team: Nationals

It didn't work last year, so let's try it again!

  5. Favorite player: Joey Votto. Favorite team: Cincinnati Reds.

  6. Favorite Player: Jose Bautista
    Favorite Team: Oakland Athletics

  7. Chase Utley and the Philadelphia Phillies

  8. Favorite Team: Washington Nationals <--- The ORIGINAL Minnesota Twins!
    Favorite "Player": Felicia Day

Yeah, my homegirl and I are going to slay those bloodsucking Yankeevampires using everything she learned from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Look for us at the top of the standings. Peace.

  9. I went with Jason Heyward last year to no avail (Play at the Plate got the box that was destined for me) so this year I will pick Freddie Freeman for the Braves

  10. I think you missed mine, so I'll re-comment:

    FP: David Wright
    FT: Washington Nationals

  11. Favorite Player :Ryan Howard
    Favorite Team: Dodgers

  12. since Topps appears to NOT have put my favourite player in Ginter this year, way to go topps again!
I guess I'll have to go with Freddie Freeman and of course, my Braves.
